From sailing the seas with the UK Royal Navy to soaring through the skies with a Private Pilot’s Licence, John Walker has lived a life full of adventure, creativity, and a sprinkle of mischief! After falling head over heels in love with Pat (and staying that way!), John tried his hand at everything from window cleaning to inventing new gadgets for the NHS. Not one to sit still, he even built a 7,500 sq. ft house on a derelict farm in Greater Manchester and turned the land into a beautiful garden and arboretum – because, why not?
But that’s just the beginning! Bored with his ever-growing list of accomplishments, John started two car rental franchises, launched a manufacturing unit, and wrote a series of children’s books inspired by his grandkids. His first creation, Cheeky Pigeon, tickled the imaginations of children aged 4-8, while the charming Happy Horace series brought giggles to toddlers 1-4. Now, having swapped the misty hills of England for sunny Portugal, John is crafting his next masterpiece (and building an Art Deco house, naturally).
